In dieser Lesung nimmt Linn Schiffmann, genderqueere Künstlerperson aus Dortmund, das Publikum mit auf eine persönliche Reise durch Kunst, Sprache und Identität.
Neben der Vorstellung des internationalen Projekts #tofacetransvoice, das gemeinsam mit dem britischen Dichter Dalton Harrison entstanden ist, bezieht Linn auch historische und aktuelle Entwicklungen mit ein. Thematisiert werden der gegenwärtige transpolitische Konflikt in Großbritannien, sowie die Geschichte von Toni Simon, einer crossdressing Cafébesitzerin aus Essen in den 1920er Jahren.
Die Lesung verbindet persönliche Perspektiven mit Kunst, Geschichte und Gegenwart – und macht queere Erfahrungen hörbar und sichtbar.
Linn Schiffmann, geboren 1990 in Dortmund, ist eine deutsche genderqueere Künstlerperson. Linn arbeitet interdisziplinär und verbindet Bildende Kunst und Literatur, um Identität, Queerness und soziale Machtstrukturen zu erforschen.

In this reading, Linn Schiffmann, a genderqueer artist from Dortmund, takes the audience on a personal journey through art, language, and identity.
Alongside presenting the international project #tofacetransvoice, developed in collaboration with British poet Dalton Harrison, Linn also explores historical and contemporary developments. Topics include the current political conflict surrounding trans rights in the United Kingdom, as well as the story of Toni Simon, a cross-dressing café owner from Essen in the 1920s.
The reading combines personal perspectives with art, history, and contemporary issues, making queer experiences both visible and heard.
Linn Schiffmann, born in Dortmund in 1990, is a German genderqueer artist. Working across disciplines, Linn combines visual art and literature to explore identity, queerness, and social power structures.
